I see the same problem on tme-0.8nb20, on NetBSD/i386 6.1.

Probably TME (or its compiler) problem.

top works on:
 - NetBSD/luna68k on (real) LUNA
 - NetBSD/x68k on XM6i (with FPU support)
 - NetBSD/sun3 on TME without FPU support (i.e. using kernel FPU_EMULATE)
