Virtual Memory Exhausted

Hello,
While running a prog on sun-solaris using gcc, its saying:
Virtual Memory Exhausted
and after a couple of times trying its saying:
ld:fatal: file /dev/zero:cannot mmap file:resource temporarily unavailable
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

Any help would be appreciated.
