10.99 GENERIC memory usage (was RE: Clock Error)

That seems like a lot of memory for GENERIC.  73MB - 66MB = 7-ish MB.  I squeezed my 10.0_RC1 kernel down to about 3.5MB used at runtime, I think, but that only saved about 1MB.  Does that lcg0 have dedicated memory?
