Looks like you are testing with Mark Pizzolato's version of simh?

You may also wish to try the version from the open-simh folks as they
also provide a microVAX II emulator.

FWIW I have always found the ethernet interfacing code in the various
flavors of SIMH to be the most challenging to make work well, but then
that is just my experience.  Of course the host OS also plays a major
role in making things work.
