Building an amd64 "Linux bootloader" kernel and RAM disk?

It doesn’t look like there are any “Linux bootloader" kernels and RAM disk images built for amd64.

What do I need to tweak to build each? Are they just config entries, or is this the sort of thing that will require more hacking?

What I’m looking for is something like netbsd-GENERIC64.img.gz and ramdisk.fs.gz that are generated for evbarm-aarch64.
