I did some further testing, too, and found that it works fine on my mostly GENERIC kernel and also with NetBSD-10.0_RC3-amd64-install.img.gz. It was only when I copied and gunzipped https://cdn.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/NetBSD-10.0_RC3/amd64/binary/kernel/netbsd-INSTALL.gz to my root fs and supplied the new kernel as a parameter to boot(8) that I ran into trouble with sysinst not asking for the SSID. I checked the dmesg output and it was identical between the 3 kernels that I tested with: athn0 at pci3 dev 0 function 0: Atheros AR9820 athn0: rev 2 (2T2R), ROM rev 22, address c8:bc:c8:bf:a7:90 athn0: interrupting at ioapic0 pin 17
