I believe, we won't get around having the compiler headers in our tree 
anyway, since otherwise building under Linux turns out to be really 
problematic. I'd say we add a `headers/gcc' directory with subdirectories for 
the GCC version we want to support (`2.95', `3.3', etc. -- minor versions are 
probably not necessary), and add the respective one of those directories to 
the include search paths (instead of the compiler include dir).
