I have been watching Haiku for a while now and had tried to get involved a while back but didn't find the time to really get started. That has changed now and I would like to help out where I can. I am currently working for a company basically hardening SCSI storage drivers for surprise hotplug removal under Red Hat Linux. I have been using Linux as my main OS since 04/05, previous to that I had been using MS-DOS/Windows 3.1 and beyond. I've played with Solaris and used Mac OS X for a couple years until my PowerBook had an unfortunate event, it still kinda works. I looked at the easy list but it all appears to be GUI related problems and I have absolutely no experience with GUI's. I have no problem learning, but I find the kernel a more interesting place. I already have a freshly built image running in VirtualBox and am ready to dig in. I look forward to working with you all.
