I told him so, he didn't believe me...

Anyway, I guess there's another question that's on the back of his
head (and mine as well): do we want this behaviour to remain as is?
Are there any other plans regarding how RT threads should eventually
(R2, Rx) behave? Even though the current "naïve" approach seems quite
sound to handle soft-RT, there are many hard-RT strategies described
in the literature, and I always considered the possibility of having a
two-level scheduler, the upper level serving RT threads and the lower,
non-RT.

BTW, the cooperation/competition/exchange of ideas between Salvo and
me is going on great :)
