While we're at it [redux]...

The scheduler I wrote (it's coming! yay!) was designed to support
different scheduling policies (that policy vs mechanism abstraction
thingie). It'd be rather nifty if we manage to have a scheduling
framework in place that can be reused whenever one is needed/desired,
including userland (allowing a very sane implementation of fibers, and
also alternative threading libraries so we could provide M:N threading
with very little effort).
