booting from CD on DS10L, recovering from bad firmware update?

I had no problem installing Linux on a DS10L from local CD-ROM.
The firmware update, Tru64, and OpenVMS CDs also boot fine.
FreeBSD boots but doesn't see the hard drive.


But I can't figure out how to boot NetBSD or OpenBSD.
Advise?


boot dqb0 -fl "" -fi ""
boot dqb0 -fl "" -fi "bsd"
boot dqb0 -fl "" -fi obsd
boot dqb0 -fl "" -fi kernel
boot dqb0 -fl "" -fi netbsd
etc.

none work.


Should I give up and learn to boot from the network?


Also, anyone know how to recover from a bad firmware burn?
