It seems that recording DMA fails to start.

Do you have any "microphone" or "recording" settings in the BIOS? if
so, could you *enable* recording in the bios? (on certain systems, if
the microphone is disabled, the device claims recording capability but
recording is broken).

As a quick workaround, you could drop the read permission from the
device node:

	chmod g-r /dev/audio0
