scribus has severe display problems

Hey,
scribus has severe display problems in the GUI under openbsd 7.9. If 
more than 2 windows are open, e.g. main window and story editor, the 
program will run for a long time. After that, when using a drop-down 
menu, the second window disappears into the background or it flickers 
again. The switch from XFCE to LXQT ended the flickering, but not the 
unwanted window changes.
