Thanks for the info. I never thought that this problem is affected by "Perhaps what you are sending in is a feature request, not necessarily a bug." I was so sure. I guess i'll consider updating the machine.

I saw this and wondered how I'd be able to tell if my cpu is affected
by this. I have a few Xeon(R) namely E5-2690 E5-2690v2 E5-2407
