Am I right to assume that it is a disk problem, then?

I'll go check the cabling. And if that's not it then I have another disk
I could try. It's currently sitting in an SGI Indy, but I want larger
disks in that box anyway, so transferring that disk from the Indy to the
HP won't be a problem, if necessary.
