I did not know what "isl" meant. 

I guess it also cought me by surprise that the boot blocks started
honoring the "isl" flag since the last time I had them updated.

Entirely my fault here. Sorry.

The new boot blocks (which didn't change version) boots correctly
bsd.rd when I escape to admin menu to "boot pri isl".
