Its behind the runway. To verify it, i wrote a little piece of code and voila - it shows up: "BC Runway Port, type 0xc [I/O Adaptor], sv 0xb" at mainbus0 (type c, sv b, hv 7 ) offset ff88000 not configured ==> mbattach: [8] iostat = 0x40 ==> mbattach: [8] io_io_low=0xfffff100 io_io_high=0xfffff180 ==> mbattach: [8] ioa real io_io_low=0xf1000000 ==> mbattach: [8] ioa real io_io_high=0xf1040000 "Bus Converter Port, type 0x7 [Bus Converter Port], sv 0xc" at mainbus0 (type 7, sv c, hv 11) offset 103f000 not configured "BC Runway Port, type 0xc [I/O Adaptor], sv 0xb" at mainbus0 (type c, sv b, hv 7 ) offset ff8a000 not configured ==> mbattach: [10] iostat = 0x40 ==> mbattach: [10] io_io_low=0xfffff180 io_io_high=0xfffff200 ==> mbattach: [10] ioa real io_io_low=0xf1800000 ==> mbattach: [10] ioa real io_io_high=0xf1840000 "FW SCSI, type 0x4 [Type-A DMA], sv 0x89" at mainbus0 (type 4, sv 89, hv 51) off set 1800000 not configured "Bus Converter Port, type 0x7 [Bus Converter Port], sv 0xc" at mainbus0 (type 7, sv c, hv 0) offset 1804000 not configured "Bus Converter Port, type 0x7 [Bus Converter Port], sv 0xc" at mainbus0 (type 7, sv c, hv 11) offset 183f000 not configured cpu0 at mainbus0 offset ffa0000 irq 31: PCXT' L1-B 120MHz, FPU PCXT' (Tornado), type 0x82 [FPU], sv 0xb rev 1 Its not recursive yet, i will have to make it recursive to get everything down in the busconverter/busconverter/busconverter/... path. The runway is obviously already initialized by the PDC. These mechanisms are nowhere documented, (or are they ???) i discovered them by looking at the Debian code and i wonder where _they_ got it from. hellmuth -- Hellmuth Michaelis Hamburg, Europe hm\at\kts\dot\org www.kts.org a duck is like a bicycle because they both have two wheels except the duck (tl)
