i've started comitting the obvious things.
here are some comments and wishes.

please try to make unified diffs (-u) as they are much easier to read.
please do avoid renaming things as it serves no purpose.
walk_iomem() is way wrong. IOA is supposed to have it's own driver
    that would handle the issues.
