I got another HP Workstation (HP 9000/712/60 (Gecko) PA-RISC 1.1c)
which is working fine. Debian/GNU Linux is booting on the other
machine, so the problem seems to be solvable.

But my assembly skills are very limited, if I get some clue
I can do native compiles on my new machine ;)

Do you think it is worth to look at the Linux kernel code or
is it better to start with the PA-RISC documentation for the
machine?

       bye
