the new snapshot should have propagated onto mirrors by now.
besides all new goodies (except for propolice, which is
broken for hppa and thus is disabled for now), there is
support for boting from the scsi drives.
since the installation media is under development right now,
here is the quick and easy way to install manually:
0. boot diskless, make sure to boot the supplied bsd.lif
1. verify your sd* devices got probed in dmesg
2. dd if=boot.lif of=/dev/rsd0c; make sure to use the boot.lif supplied
3. disklabel -E sd0
4. newfs all the parts on the drive
5. mount the filesystems at /mnt
6. cp bsd /mnt/bsd
7. cd /mnt
8. tar zxpf base32.tgz; etc...
9. reboot
should boot all fine then.
the scsi driver still has some issues, less annoying than
the ethernet driver, though (;
on some machines scsi drives do not probe, the cause is not
know at the moment, but we are looking into that.
