playing sound on 735/125 locks up hard

Hi,
I'm running a snapshot from 29 May and when I try to play an
mp3 using mpg123, the machine locks up.

It responds to ping, but does not allow me to login via ssh (times out).
The serial console does not respond.
The logs do not show anything unusual.

I tried a 3.7-release kernel, which gave the same result.
