Mark, Sorry, but when I answer Y to interact with the IPL, it then says

Booting ...
Boot IO dependant code (IODC) revision 0

and when the OpenBSD header appears, it does not give me a chance to enter 
anything, but rather just boots bsd.rd in the normal way ...

Perhaps there is a firmware setting which is preventing the IPL 
interaction from actually occurring??

I've tried typing ahead, and holding down the space bar, but that does not 
seem to work, and I can't see any way to tell the OpenBSD loader to wait 
for me to type the -c option, and subsequently I don't see the UKC> prompt 
at all ...

Hmmm ... any suggestions??  I'm leaving the office for the day, I'll be in
in the AM (EST5EDT) ...
