vi can't make temp and df gives me funny numbers on lc040 on p630

Okay, sshd came up with no problems, somewhat to my surprise. So, I am  
pasting the dmesg in below.

Also, trying to vi after going multi-user gives me permission problems.  
(I'm also asking about this on netbsd-help.) Sometimes it's the log  
file, and sometimes its the recovery file that should be in  
/var/tmp/vi.recover. Root can vi okay, an ordinary member of wheel  
can't.

Michael Lucas is suggesting that I forgot the -p flag when doing tar  
-x, and I'm going to play around with that. (base went in from the 68k  
installer, but the rest, I had to cpin the tarballs and extract them in  
single-user mode.)
