XFree problems on 3.3

Hello,

I swapped disk on my IIci where I already had the OpenBSD install
odyssey. I got a bigger disk so I could install X stuff to, I
reinstalled the same 3.3 as it was known to work against 3.4.
The screen is 640x480, but when I launch "startx" I read "1024x768"
screen and nothing appears. The machine is not freeze, I can remotely
log-in and kill the process...

Any suggestions?
