Uh, although this surely sounds like sarcasm or a troll, there's a chance 
someone reading might take it seriously, so i'll bite:

What is unacceptable about rudeness?

Well, how about there's absolutely no need for it, especially here on 
this list... or that it serves absolutely no useful purpose whatsoever.  
Rudeness is merely poor manners; nothing else.  

Being polite is no more difficult than being rude; the difference is one 
of attitude and practice.  I'm reminded of an anecdote told to me which 
occurred early in the 20th century:  A stock-boy in a shoe-store was busy 
reshelving shoe boxes when a customer walked by.  The boy looked up but 
said nothing as the man walked by.  After a couple minutes, the man 
returned and said:  "Always say good-morning; it doesn't cost you much, 
but it sure sounds nice."
