Well, I grabbed the 3.2 mac68k kernel, and it no longer boots :(
Looks like my IIci does not like the 3.2 kernel.
Unfortunately, the 3.0 kernel doesn't like my ethernet card (a DynaPORT
EII/T with a NS 8390 chip).
