Hi, I've been running OpenBSD on my laptop for a few weeks now and have\ been having a pretty pleasant experience. I've heard of the current\ branch of the operating system and I think it'd be fun to check out\ with the added benefit of having a few ports I want that aren't in\ the release builds yet. I have a few questions regarding this:\ 1. Are these builds stable enough for daily use outside of testing?\ My laptop isn't exactly a production machine, but I would still like for it to be able to be turned on every day with minimal fixing-\ effort. That doesn't mean I'm against fixing the occasional bug,\ though.\ 2. How often should I upgrade/jump to the next snapshot?\ I read on the FAQ page for the -current branch that upgrades are\ handled with the syspatch -s command. How often is standard to run\ this? On my rolling Arch gaming rig, I usually update about twice\ a week, but I assume that the number is different here, because\ OpenBSD is a different operating system.\ 3. How are major upgrades handled?\ When OpenBSD 8.0 comes out, will I have to do any extra work to\ keep tracking -current, or will it just keep rolling on and on?\ I assume you can call -current a rolling release... Thanks, Ethan
