Fil-C evaluation

What do you people think about the mechanisms implemented by Fil-C (
https://fil-c.org/)? OpenBSD itself is not shy on adding security
functionality in the compiler and libc. Is this fat-pointer and GC
mechanism too much? I dont argument FOR Fil-C here; i only ask for the
opinion of a group where experts are very likely to be present.
