X screen blanking pauses audio for a moment

Hello, I am facing a weird issue that on DPMS standby or screen blank
in X. I think it could be a hardware issue (a Thinkpad X201). When the
screen blanks, if there is any sort of audio playing, will pause until
the screen goes totally blank. It doesn't happen when the screen comes
back on waking it up.

For your kind information, I cannot reproduce this problem in Linux
(in a Void Linux live ISO) as a test. Please help me figure out how to
fix this! Thank you!
