Herculean? Maybe not. Planned? No.

I can't discount the value of nested virt, but taking on the added
complexity when there are other pressing needs (*cough*SMP*cough*) it's
not on my personal short list.

You can still run virtualization systems inside a guest today but they
can't use any hardware acceleration from the CPU (i.e. VMX or
SVM). Given vmd is only uniprocessor capable, it will not be a great
experience.
