It could be that there was a time that the FAQ was one single HTML file, and consequently would be trivial to convert to any format. The FAQ in its current form has a number of sub-documents, so combining them to a single file and converting would be immensely boring and probably be best done with some relatively basic scripting. -- Peter N.
