Hello Nick,

Sorry if I change email domain but I'm frustrated by some 451 failure
notice returns sending to misc and to some of you. I hope for you that is
only my case.

7.8 amd64 stable to last patch

Yes, I'm by keyboard and mouse directly connected to the laptop, in console
outside X. I can't dmesg for now.

Sorry if I repeat what already said with other of you.

About my two displays.. they are two Dell 24" lcd a little dated, from 2012
I believe, and by a basic OSD menu, They own a 16:9, 4:3, 5:4 size options
in the OSD like a screen size setting. Trying all of them the screen
appears always bound to the margin left but on the right the text comes
truncated in the same way.

Both the display are connected via hdmi from the same laptop to passive
hdmi-to-dvi converters; the first starts from an hdmi port; the second
arrives to the converter from the dp port via dp-to-hdmi cable with the
same identical output result.

I can eventually try different stuff like vga connector and even vga to dvi
active converters, if you need.

Instead /etc/ttys:

console getty:"/usr/libexec/getty std.9600" type:vt100 status: off
secure

It is since ages that I don't check or put my hands over ttys settings. I
neither remember a lot, really.

I just surprise to have a "vt100".. could be that the problem ?
