Upstream has stable release assets, so the standard idiom is

	V =		2.6.0
	DISTNAME =	smcroute-${V}
	HOMEPAGE =	https://github.com/troglobit/smcroute
	SITES =		https://github.com/troglobit/smcroute/releases/download/${V}/

Alternatively, you can pick the latest commit for 2.6.1 and remove all patches
except for the Makefile.am one:

	GH_ACCOUNT =	troglobit
	GH_PROJECT =	smcroute
	# no tag/release yet, contains OpenBSD fixes
	GH_COMMIT =	2fab0beb90eba032db2919bb647be7253c04ec84
	DISTNAME =	smcroute-2.6.1pre0

Either way builds and packages, as you like.
