There are many runtime issues aside from the tests. I'm not sure if it's 
a good idea to include the tests in the port since they require elevated 
privileges. You need to run them as root for them to work. I don't know 
if the build will be the same. I ran these commands to test the SimpleX 
ports:

Update cabal.inc:
make clean=all
make makesum
make cabal-inc

Build:
make clean=all
make makesum
make fake
make update-plist

Test:
make lib-depends-check
make test

I'm gradually fixing the issues with the tests, and until then, you can 
try this version:
