That would work locally on a single machine indeed. Means I cannot
provide a Github repo with the port, because checking that out will not
contain that db file. It is an open source project. Would not make sense
to add it to the ports tree. The number of people interested in using it
is somewhere below two.

It has

WANTLIB = c m stdthreads ecpg pgtypes
LIB_DEPENDS = databases/postgresql devel/libstdthreads

I could "abuse" the user created by databases/postgresql (_postgresql).
Is it safe to do that? That user comes from postgresql-server. Port just
needs client libraries so would then need to depend on the server
package but I don't know how to do that properly or if that really is my
only option.
