Attached is a tarball for a new OpenBSD port of the open source surveillance suite ZoneMinder. It is certainly a work in progress and is far from perfect...but it *does* work. I'm sure there are tons of problems, plenty of incorrect syntax (especially in pkg/PLIST), and more than a few mistakes, so feedback and testing are welcome (please be gentle...it's my first time). The actual source code for ZoneMinder takes less than five minutes to compile on my computer. However, the dependencies are enormous. If you want to test this completely from source, it will take a really, really long time. I switched to "FETCH_PACKAGES=" in mk.conf because it saved me considerable time (after I had tested it a couple of times from source...that was enough). ZoneMinder was originally developed for Linux, so there are lots of little things that don't work in OpenBSD (and might never work). However, all the major features seem to be functioning. To really test this properly, you need to have access to some cameras. If you don't have access to a camera, some testing is still useful, but you won't be able to verify everything. There are a lot of post-installation steps, so I tried to document those via pkg/MESSAGE. This might not be the right way, but it is helpful for a first draft and can easily be changed if needed. Also, I've pretty much only tested this with -stable on OpenBSD 7.9 amd64, so plenty of opportunities for other testing configurations. Thanks to Stuart, Daniil, Lydia, and Morgan for your help on this! -vansid
