I made one silly mistake on the fans. The fan control is working
perfectly. I had just forgotten to put the clear plastic air shroud back
in after I switched my SSD to this system. Once I put the shroud back
in, the fans slowed down and are working perfectly as can be seen from
sysctl hw output below.
