Re: Intel P4 and HT

First I do think we need to get SMP working.  I would like a system that is
not fast but secure by version 3.4.  

Problem I see is we need the development team to get this out of the coding to
something that will require the pear review.  

First thing I have to question, regardless of CPU used is; Do we have any
Internal Specification plan?

Questions I would like addressed are:
General level, How many kernels on a particular system (Intel) do we plan to
support? 
How many CPUs are we planning for the first roll out?
Which modules need changing?
How do we handle Interrupts hardware and software?
How do we keep concistancy?
Please add your development questions to the list.

When do we plan to re-synchronize with the current version of OpenBSD? Or at
least with the last release?

Remember if we do not have it ready for the P4 when it become the door stop
CPU of choice we have now left the market as a Firewall server on Cheap
hardware.  

Just my thoughts here.  I think we should discuss design not if and when.
