I don't think the problem is lack of hardware. I personally have 2-3 SMP machines, and would be willing to donate 1-2 of them if something was going to happen. However, i have heard many times before, that SMP is not a priority with the project, and that its not likely to be completed anytime soon. It would be lovely to change that though...there is a partial SMP src tree already available....it just doesn't work...NetBSD and FreeBSD both have complete SMP support, and I have always wondered why noone checks out they have done, and merge something together for obsd. I am going to put together a decent machine this evening and play around a bit with the smp branch, its been about 6-8 months since i last even looked at it. // Josh On Thursday 20 March 2003 10:53 am, Michal Koc wrote: > I've fount at the www.openbsd.org site that The OpenBSD team is looking for > SMP hardware donations, > so many something is going on anyway ?? > > best regards > Michal Koc
