Greetings. I was testing a zd1211b usb key on SPARC64 (SunBlade 100) and run into a peculiar error. The interface come up ok, but when the dhclient is called, it tries several time with different waiting times and then gives up. When I look in the access point logs it sends the OFFER to the key, but newer gets a reply. Putting a static IP does not connect machine to the network either. The same installation can connect using an rt73 (rum) device, both DHCP and static, an a laptop put on top of the SunBalde connects to the AP with the zd1211b w/o problems. The Sun has a fresh install of a snapshot of 4.6-current dated 17 of September. Has anybody managed to make zyd work on SPARC64? And a somewhat related question. During the installation I chose not to configure any network interfaces, bus still gave the machine a dummy name. This name was not added to the hosts files, which in turn prevented X from starting. Is this a desired behaviour of the new installer? Regards, Pavel Dobrokhotov
