Can't boot bsd after install with a pciide

Hi all!
I installed 4.8 on an Ultra 5 with a pciide(4), more specifically a CMD
Technology PCI0646.
Although the installation (bsd.rd) went fine, I can't boot (bsd) afterwords.
I get a panic just after avail mem:

panic: kernel diagnostic assertion "TAILQ_EMPTY(&pg)" failed file
"../../../../uvm/uvm_kmc.c", line 451.

I didn't have a console at that moment so that info is what I copied by
hand.

But what I did notice was if I take out the pci card the kernel boots fine.
I'll try to gather more details with a console but in the meantime hope
this helps in any insight you can have.
