OpenBSD/sparc (32-bit) accelerated X server?

"The X Window System works on all supported frame buffers,
including multi-head configurations. No accelerated server
is provided at the moment, although this is being worked on."

Yet frame buffers are listed with acceleration, even 3d
acceleration. Is there a way to utilize this acceleration?
Was the work on the X server dropped when 32-bit support was
discontinued?
