New to the list. I am acquiring a Vaxstation 3100 soon, and I plan to run NetBSD on it. I will use an NFS mount for at least some of its disk space. It has a drive but it is small by comparison to the one on my PC. I have netbsd running on the PC dual booting with Debian Linux. I will have to set up the network to do the installation anyway so I might as well go ahead and set up the NFS to do normal daily work as well. No CDROM on the Vaxstation. The documentation on both the Vax CD and the i386 CD is very clear and easy to understand. I had a slight problem figuring out how to mount the CD in NetBSD but someone in the irc channel helped out with that. I don't want to start a religious war by mentioning Linux, NetBSD, or OpenBSD all in the same message, I am just trying what I was told will work for this vax. Eventually I would like to learn how to do some assembly-level stuff on the vax. Since I don't already know any Vax assembler I suppose it will be easy to adapt to the one already in the toolchain.
