You have to understand that Linux dmesg is not a true dmesg, it's more
like a core dump in character form. If you look at an OpenBSD dmesg, you
can very quickly find out what devices are in the system (and, indeed,
whether it's a 32- or 64-bit pc). If you want to pay somebody to slog
through that linux dmesg and translate it, you can find somebody on our
Consultants page. If you just want to find out what works, try booting
it off a CD-ROM or floppy. Or look for yourself at our list of supported
hardware on the i386 or amd64 pages.
