Back in July I started this reply, to be cc to openbsd, that I never sent because I started to think I was being insulting... anyways... I dunno, or care, what the official position is, but it's my take that there's some sympathy hereabouts for the view that the entire SSL framework is fundamentally flawed. It's not that there's anything really shakey about the cyphers or implementations, but the hierarchic nature of the administration means that in order for me to talk to my neighbor in confidence I gotta trust some wonk on the other side of the world and everybody else has to trust 'im too.
