Yes, you're right.

BUT, I think it would still be a good thing to indicate vnconfig (or
softraid),
even if we can't crypt '/' partition. I mean, tell something like:
"To minimize this terrible tragedy, you can use vnconfig/softraid to encrypt
your personal data."
