Last week, someone reported a similar problem, and he was kind enough to
send me a screen shot -- he went to www.google.ca, entered "openbsd get
source", and got several hits with multi-slashes in them.  As soon as I
got that, I tried it using "www.google.com", and sure enough, it worked
just as he said, double slashes on multiple pages.

Today...tried the same thing, and it works properly.  So, looks like a
transient Google error...
