Concerning OpenBSD

Hello, I'm writing concerning should I get a modem for OpenBSD.
  You see I have a laptop with Windows XP on it. I don't have OpenBSD yet. I plan to install OpenBSD to my laptop.
  
  But first, I plan to get it on cd. I want to be able to get on the internet using OpenBSD.
  
  Do I need to buy a modem for OpenBSD?
  
  If so, what external usb modem or external usb modems do you recommend for OpenBsd?
  
  What external usb modems can I use for OpenBsd?
