I successfully managed to install OpenBSD 4.0 on a Sony Laptop PCG-505TR this evening. Here are the details for your http://www.openbsd.org/i386-laptop.html page. Model: Sony laptop PCG-505TR OpenBSD Version: 4.0 Working: apm, X, audio, port extender all work fine. Hacks: Have to disable pcibios on UKC prompt for it to boot up.
