To add to my earlier email (partially reproduced above):

The organization need not be non-profit according to legal definitions
(things get a lot easy if it has a legal non-profit status though).
The organization should be in the process of giving back to the
community, striving for the betterment of the human race, without a
bias towards any race/religion/community. I guess OpenBSD fits this
definition, so I can at least try - they do verify before actually
adding it to the list, so they have the choice to reject it too.
